Transgender Day of Remembrance
The Transgender Day of Remembrance is an emotional and poignant day for many of those who identify as Trans, Non-Binary/Genderfluid and Intersex, and is a time to remember those across the world who have lost their lives due to their gender identity, whether that is by another’s hand of their own.
Sparkle – The National Transgender Charity organises one of largest annual Transgender Day of Remembrance memorial services in the UK, where the local community gathers by the National Trans Memorial in Manchester’s Sackville Gardens with their families, friends, and allies from across society to mark the lives of everyone who is no longer with us.
Details of 2019’s Transgender Day of Remembrance event will be announced later this year.
'Transgender Day of Remembrance is an incredibly important day, by attending the TDoR event in Manchester with friends and colleagues. I feel hopeful for the future.'
