Sparkle Promotional Poster Competition |
Calling all talented TG designers and artists, willing to donate a little time and creativity to support Sparkle 2012. We are wanting to produce a promotional poster to be displayed in the bars and clubs of the Manchester Village and at other TG venues across the UK to promote the next Sparkle weekend. Sparkle is a registered charity with limited budget, so there is no fab cash prize - simply the chance to support a unique event and have your artwork displayed to thousands of people in the run-up to the Sparkle weekend. The poster will include the designers name and contact email or website and will be a great addition to your portfolio if you design for business and a great way to have your work showcased if it's just a hobby. The poster needs to be A3 (portrait) size and promote the Sparkle weekend to both TG people who could be considering attending and the wider community who may just wonder what it's all about. The closing date is Friday 28th October so if you are interested in helping us out then please check out the following details: Poster size A3 (with 3mm bleed) 303mm x 426mm File type - preferably PDF saved with layers. Otherwise a hi-res jpeg. Colour profile CMYK and resolution 300 dpi at least. Poster must include the following: Thousands of Sparkle photos can be found of Flickr some may be hi-resolution, but if you explain to the photographer of a particular image why you want it many will be able to send you a better quality version, images can be used from any previous Sparkle event, not just the most recent. Although images don't have to be from Sparkle. You can also mention any of the following that you wish (optional) Sparkle in the Park, talks and workshops (venue not yet confirmed), meals and parties, a celebration of all things transgender, the Sparkle festival weekend. The finished poster can be emailed (if less than 10mb in size) or sent on a cd to the Sparkle address given on the website contacts page. |
